THE BOOK OF JAMES: THE RIGHTEOUS LIFE GOD DESIRES

May 17, 2020

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

James 1:19-21

LORD AND SAVIOR ON MAY 2, 2020!

The Book of James is my all-time favorite book. The brother of Jesus speaks
with such boldness with and practical instruction. He masterfully drew so
much of his letter from both nature and the teachings of Jesus – especially the Sermon on the Mount.

In this power-packed letter to the twelve tribes of Israel, James gave 29 references to nature – showing his obvious understanding of the connection between the Spirit of our great and awesome God and nature!

As we study the book of James together I hope you come to deeper convictions about righteousness and my prayer is for God to honor the progress in your faith and to honor everything you do in your life as you worship and serve him!

Have an incredible Sunday Service! praise. Amen!
