January 14, 2024, we had our first Sunday service of the New Year following our SAGES Winter Workshop “Light of the Word!” Aj and Juliette Betancur welcomed us to service, followed by an incredible time of worship. Cameron DeMouy delivered an amazing communion message that brought us to the cross, and reminded us that we are more than conquerors referencing Romans 8. Neila Mathurin gave us a motivational contribution followed by Dr Joe’s fiery lesson on the “Choices We Make and the Choices that Make Us”.
We concluded service with the heart moving baptism of our sister Debra Mitchell! Debra is the mother of Celaya (baptized in 2022) and Regina (baptized last month), and the grandmother of Ja’Corey (baptized this past November). Celaya has been going after baptizing her family one by one, and her youngest son Sherman is slated to be baptized next week. God is truly moving within the Mitchell family!
On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, we had a refreshing Midweek Service filled with encouragement. At the end of the night we announced the new bible talk leaders devoted to sharing the love of Jesus on the FSU, FAMU, TCC, and TU campuses.
