THERE’S POWER IN THE BLOOD

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
As a person comes out of the waters of baptism the soul is forgiven. The blood of Jesus washes away all sin and the Holy Spirit RUSHES into the
soul. The spirit begins directing and affecting the life of a true believer. Since the time Jesus walked the face of the earth, words have yet to be written which can adequately describe the power afforded to believers through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit – because it’s a power beyond our comprehension.
The Lord tries to help us by encouraging us to use this power by encouraging us in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, “…to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” He does this because His goal for us is to “have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10.
The biggest problem a disciple of Jesus faces is to strive for greater understanding of the Power they’ve been given and to use that Power every day.
Today, I hope today’s service inspires you to see the Power God has made available in your life. The Power to overcome, to choose to be angry or not, to choose to not be bitter and resentful, and the power to not be hurt by other people’s actions and words. When you grasp the power afforded to you as a believer the words of today’s theme song (There’s Power in the Blood) will begin to mean more and more to you, “Can’t no grave hold my body down….Jesus got the power over death, Hell and the grave”
So, what about you? What can you do with your life? What options do you have? We want you to know that you have every option to do everything you’ve ever wanted because there’s Power in the Blood!
The Fluid of Physical Life
Blood is a red fluid that contains a complex mixture of cells suspended in
a liquid matrix which is transported to almost every part of our body, a network of blood vessels called the circulatory system. It’s propelled by the Heart delivering oxygen and other important nutrients to cells of organs and tissues, while at the same time, cleansing waste body from our body. In order for blood to carry out its functions, it needs to touch every living cell and tissues. Thus, it is the fluid of life, a vital life force that all humans need in order to live and sustain life.

a. Distribution: Oxygen & Nutrients to all Organs/Tissues in the body - Transport of dissolved gases
a. Blood literally washes your body of infections, waste, etc - Regulation
a. Levels of acid in your bodily fluids
b. Temperature - Protection from injury
a. Clotting through Platelets
The Fluid of Spiritual Life
The Spiritual Fluid of Life, the Blood of a sacrifice with the right blood type
works just like the physical fluid of life. In order for this blood to carry out its functions, the sacrifice from which is came must die and its blood must be transfused into the soul of each unclean soul. The blood must be circulated and propelled through the life of every unclean, & unsanctified heart through Faith. Faith allows the blood to be sprinkled on and TOUCH every part of the unclean soul so that it may be in the presence of God and achieve its purpose of delivering a clear conscience, purified life, attitude, cleansing the life of the waste and toxins through the forgiveness of sins. Thus, it is the fluid of spiritual life, a vital life force that all humans need to have forgiveness of sins and to perpetually be in the presence of God on earth and in heaven.

a. Distribution of a Clear Conscience to all areas of your life - Our Faith in the Blood transports forgiveness
a. Blood of Jesus literally washes your soul of all sins that cause conflict,
distress, & infect our attitudes - Regulation

b. Temperature of Your Emotions - Protection: Spiritual Platelets (Holy Spirit) create Spiritual Clotting which
heals our emotional wounds
